Fr. Geoff Rose, OSFS is a member of the religious congregation the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, Toledo-Detroit Province. Professed his vows in 1998 and was ordained a priest in 2002.

Prior to joining the Oblates in 1996, Fr Rose was involved in just about every level of political life.
• First, being elected to the City Council of Ypsilanti, Michigan at the age of 21 in 1992;
• then as Deputy Mayor (one of the youngest in history of the State of Michigan);
• then served as an executive director of a Political Action Committee(PAC), then managed a targeted campaign for a State House seat;
• spending the last 3 years of political service as a senior staffer for a US Congresswoman.
While many do not see the connection between politics and priesthood, Fr Rose says it boils down to two words: Advocacy and Service!
• He spent the first 12 years of his ministry at Lumen Christi Catholic High School in Jackson, Michigan as a teacher, chaplain/director of Campus Ministry and part of the administrative team.
• He has been at St. Francis de Sales School in Toledo, Ohio since 2013, and was named President in 2015.

In addition he is passionately involved in the ministry of foreign missions.
• He is a preacher for his own community’s Foreign Missions;
• Chaplain & Board member for an orphanage in the Philippines called the Lingap Center;
• served on the Board of Directors of IsleGo Missions—an interdenominational mission that specializes in short term experiences primarily in the Caribbean;
• and closer to home he is a director and a chaplain for Catholic HEART Workcamp which provides service opportunities for over 13,000 youth in 50 cities.
Fr. Rose is co-founder of Mark 5:11 Ministries where he provides retreats, talks, conferences, and parish missions both nationally and internationally.
The focus of Mark 5:11 Ministries is to share the Joy of the Lord in all that we do.

Known affectionately as “Frose” by his students, his energy, humor, and passion for sharing God’s love is refreshing.
